Calligraphy Action at Santavana's 10th Anniversary

This activity was organised in line with the 10th anniversary of its estabishment in Dec '08. Calligraphies written were used to do fund raising for charity purposes. We started with the

Calligraphy at Santavana Forest Hermitage, Sabah

This activity was organised in conjunction with its 10th anniversary celebration of establishment , end of '08. Santavana Forest Hermitage is a buddhist forest temple situated in a small town , Tuaran in Sabah. It is about 1 hr 30 min drive from KK . Total area is about 40 acres. Its abbort is Ven Sek Kai Yin (释开印). I met him about 5 - 6 years ago when the temple had a fund raising activity for victims of Sunami then

The 3rd World Lay-Buddhist Conference '09

The Conference was held in Four Point Hotel , Kuching on 19-20 Dec '09 . It was attended by over 300 participants from 14 nations. 40+ scholars presented their views on various topics on buddhism.

Shanghai Art Expo '09

The 13th Shanghai Art Expo was held in early Sep '09 . The whole trip was made possible by cheap air fares .. Bravo Airasia ! I also managed to visit 杭州 and 苏州 . . .
